Other chemicals of concern include quaternary ammonium compounds, or quats. These chemicals are regulated through the EPA's List N. In addition to providing information on the toxicity of disinfection products, the List N also lists their effectiveness against COVID-19. However, a subset of products is available that do not contain any of the chemicals of concern.
